Positive feelings, trust, emotional appeal 

Understanding: Appealing to the intellect

Value: Convincing the reader YOU will provide value for their organization
 
YOUR brand should:  Specialize and differentiate yourself so people will automatically presume you are the expert.  Demonstrate the value that is inherent in being a specialist. 
Easy to understand because people like easy concepts.  
Represent YOUR passion, purpose AND potential.
